COMING TOGETHER TO SERVE OUR STATE BETTER

We have heard loud and clear from consumers and farmers alike that demand for local farm-fresh products has never been greater. As a result, partners from around the state are working together to create a comprehensive online Washington State Food and Farm Atlas.

The goal of this project is to facilitate connections between consumers and farm/food businesses across Washington.

Over the course of the next year, we will be working together to merge our various online farm maps from individual websites onto a single easy-to-use platform that will enable us to work more efficiently to promote Washington State agriculture, while building a single resource consumers can use to connect with farmers across the state.

The new Eat Local First Collaborative includes Pierce County Fresh, Sustainable Connections, The Local Food Trust, Tilth Alliance, Washington State University Food Systems, and with future participation from Island Grown, Genuine Skagit Valley, Gorge Grown Food Network, the Methow Conservancy, Walla Walla Grown and other regional partners.

IN THE MEANTIME, WHERE SHOULD I UPDATE MY INFORMATION?

If your farm or market is listed on more than one of the following sites: Tilth Alliance’s Farm Guide, WSU’s Farm Finder ToolPierce County Fresh or Sustainable Connections’ Food Atlas, you may receive similar emails from multiple organizations inviting you to update your farm’s listing information. You only need to update your listing on one platform (though you may wish to do so on all relevant platforms to maintain accuracy for this summer season).

IF YOU DON’T HAVE A LISTING YET

you are invited to create one for FREE on any of our partner websites that apply to your location:

Pierce County: Pierce County Fresh
Olympic Peninsula
NW Washington Food Atlas (Whatcom, Skagit, San Juan or Island counties)
Tilth Alliance’s Farm Guide (statewide)
WSU Food Systems Farm Finder (statewide)

Thank you for your hard work producing essential food for the residents of Washington State during these difficult times. Please contact us if you need assistance updating your listing or if you have any questions. We are here for you.
